experiências de acolhimento e relações de proximidade nas rodas de samba do Quilombo do Grotão – RJ

Abstract

In this article, I propose to analyze the relationship between politic public expression and sociability practices linked to music, especially samba, during the “rodas de samba” in Quilombo do Grotão, located in Niterói, metropolitan area of Rio de Janeiro. I propose considers the experiences of welcoming visitors, drawing attention to relevance given to relations of proximity and familiarity, but also to commercial practices and engagements around a civic order, considering the demands of the rights by residents. I suggest, then, that the discursive acts and performances of a political character are proof of the sociability practices observed in this festive environment, leading to a posture or of approximation or of “avoiding” politics and the discursive contents associated with it.
